JOB OVERVIEW: Reports to MRO Buyer/ Parts Crib Supervisor. Under supervision perform all necessary tasks to ensure minimum equipment down time through maintaining proper parts inventory.


  • Responsible for contributing cost savings and cost avoidance ideas to ensure achievement of overall plant Parts and Supplies budget.
  • Interact and assist co-workers in obtaining stock and non-stock parts.
  • Handle transactions within the parts crib such as ordering, receiving and issuing parts.
  • Under minimal supervision perform all necessary tasks to ensure minimum equipment down time through maintaining proper parts inventory.
  • Process daily charge-outs and physically check inventory levels.
  • Determine whether or not parts need to be re-ordered.
  • Obtain pricing and availability of parts in a professional manner with outside vendors.
  • Create requisition in Main saver system and convert into order.
  • Create shopping cart in SAP/CBUY system making sure to be in compliance of Callaway’s Purchasing Policy. Once approved shopping cart will be reviewed and converted by MRO Buyer.
  • Coordinate the company’s needs, inventory management, cost savings initiatives and product delivery.
  • Check incoming deliveries against packing slip to be sure correct item and quantity were received; receive in under correct Main saver PO # and put parts away.
  • Cycle counting, parts identification, general housekeeping and inventory management activities.
  • Expedite open orders and keep co-worker updated on status of parts requested.
  • Run reports as requested.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities);

  • Experience with computer managed inventory system.
  • Ability to use 4 modules (Maintenance/Materials/Purchases/Time & Material Used) in the Mainsaver system.
  • Ability to use SAP/CBUY system.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet.
  • Motivated Individual with positive attitude and good communication (verbal & written), department support and organizational skills.
  • Possesses the interpersonal skills to build and sustain a partner relationship with Callaway’s vendors.
  • Previous working experience with maintenance and manufacturing personnel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Commitment to team approach.


  • 2 years’ experience working with machine tool parts and manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Forklift Operator license.


  • Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
  • Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business related machines and software.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 35 lbs.
