Amazing direct hire opportunity to work for a Leading Distribution Center in the LA area.

This position comes with great benefits and room for growth.

2nd shift position 4:00pm to 12:30pm Sunday -Thursday

We need an enthusiastic individual who will help us route/dispatch 40+ truck routes daily

  • Coordinate drivers’ routes according to customer request, DOT compliance, geographical and company policies
  • Notify drivers and warehouse management of schedule changes and assignments
  • Use routing software to perform daily routing, maintain software to improve routed performance
  • Participate in software improvements/upgrades or roll outs
  • Track and input driver data and hours in Excel spreadsheet or routing software
  • Partner with customer service department and sales team to resolve shipping/delivery discrepancies
  • File paperwork and manifest/trip sheets as needed
  • Prepares driver performance information sheet utilizing daily manifests (using Microsoft Excel).
  • Audits drivers’ returns and delivery invoices.
  • Checks in and receives inbound shipments from common carriers.
  • Safely and properly places product into storage locations.
  • General cleanup of warehouse; includes sweeping warehouse floors, cleaning restrooms, and mopping spilled and/or broken products off warehouse floor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment in a support capacity is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, Drivers’ manifests and other documents generated between drivers and our customers.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, including e-mails
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with sales staff and customers
  • Ability to understand problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be sufficiently familiar with Los Angeles Metropolitan Freeway systems in order to prepare schedule for Drivers’ routes.
  • Must be multi-task oriented, with ability to prioritize workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • RoadNet and SAP Experience is preferred

Physical Standards:

  • Bending, stooping, reaching and climbing is required
  • Lifting of 35 pounds or more
  • Occasional handling of will-calls: Receiving product from warehouse and delivering the product to customers(s)
  • Occasional loading cases of wine in the truck – unloading cases from the truck and delivering the product to customers(s)
  • Occasional handling of kegs – this must be handled by two individuals
  • Wearing appropriate footwear that provides comfort and support for driving, bending, stopping and climbing
