Large, stable, and well-established general contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the interior finishes of a large $40 Million dollar high-end hotel construction project in Hollywood, CA.

The Assistant Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to support the Project Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects.

The Assistant Superintendent participates in overseeing job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the architect and consultants on field and constructability issues.

  • Assist in managing the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with client, Construction Manager, project team,subcontractors, and other parties involved.
  • Assist with setting up job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
  • Participate in the review all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings.
  • Coordinate subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.
  • In collaboration with the Superintendent perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports.
  • Conduct and/or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meeting, safety meetings and project staff meetings.
  • Use project management and scheduling software effectively.
  • Other related duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working on hospitality projects is strongly preferred, or relevant experience in multifamily construction
  • Ability to oversee interiors for large commercial kitchen, basement, back of house, lobby and other common areas within a large construction project
